MESS HALL - FOOD SERVICE AT STONY BROOK

The Mess Hall at Stony Brook Air Force Station was an award-winning facility.  I have many good memories of the food, but was not too fond of the days spent on KP (kitchen police).  During the time that I was stationed at Stony Brook, all enlisted men under the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-5) had to serve on KP.  I believe that I averaged about one day every 3 months - could have been worse!  The photos below have been contributed by Stuart Schrock, the son of the Group Commander of the 3084th ADG from 1957 to 1961, Colonel Raymond Schrock.
